It’s Day Three of the HalloweenTeaParty! Todays look is another drugstore look because I know a lot of you are trying to do looks with things you already have in your makeup collection, or things you can easily find in your local shop. This is quite a simple one, but the teeth do take a little while.

Something I love about this look is you could wear it with almost anything and it would still look cool and creepy, no fancy expensive costume required.

As usual, here’s some tips for doing this look if you don’t want to watch the video, and of course the product lists.

Tips

  • For the eyes use a dark base (a black liner works well) to make sure the black eyeshadow is going to be as dark as possible.
  • Make sure you blend the edges of the dark base otherwise it’ll be hard to get a nice blend around the edges with the eyeshadow. I always find if I don’t pre blend the edges of the base you can really see that edge through the shadow.
  • In all honesty, the under eye colour correcting gets covered up by the eyeshadow, so feel free to skip that.
  • Because the eyes are so dark I didn’t bother with liner or lashes because it’ll all get lost in the black makeup, but if you can’t live without your liner/lashes go for it.
  • Ideally for the teeth a liquid to matte white lippie would be best. They tend to have amazing staying power and are pretty darn smudge proof.
  • Put a thin black line between the rows of teeth (along the parting of your lips) to help the illusion hold up when you speak.
  • If you want to make the whole look more skull like you could use a lighter foundation (or white face paint), and block out your eyebrows.
  • If you want to slim down the appearance of your face/hollow out the cheeks more then fill in the “contour” area with black (you could use the black base again to really darken it up.
  • If you’re using products that don’t set, make sure you set them with powder to help them last.

Here’s the two product lists, the first is my recommended products for this look, and the second is the actual products I used.

Recommended Products

For the foundation

  • Any colour corrector/concealers you fancy – if you’re going for light coverage foundation then you’ll want them for any correcting you do.
  • A foundation a couple of shades lighter than your own skin, stick to your own undertone and use something light coverage to give that light ashy feel.
  • Matching face powder.

For the eyes

  • Black eyeshadow base (eye liner works)
  • Black eyeshadow

For the teeth

  • White liquid lipstick (if you don’t have that, a white eyeshadow base set with white eyeshadow makes a good alternative).
  • Black liquid lipstick for in between the rows of teeth (alternatively maybe a gel liner – but I’m not so sure these are exactly designed to be used around your mouth).
  • Black eyeshadow for shading.

For the contour

  • Black eyeshadow (use a black base/black liner underneath to make it more intense).

For the brows

  • Whatever brow product you fancy.
